I started out like most photographers do, photographing my friends for free and posting my photos on myspace (I’m not old, you’re old!) and Facebook. I was scared to death to photograph my first wedding, but my dear friend and wedding planner Mary, convinced me and I shot my first wedding at age 19. I was hooked. However, don’t ask me to show you those photos! I did shoot it for free after all.
I was never into Disney princesses growing up, I didn’t plan my wedding day until I was engaged and just this year I started wearing lipstick and vans with a dress, but don’t let that fool you. I am a windswept creative, overwhelmed with real-love, telling the true story and honoring my couples organic love for one another.
I met my husband Ethan in High School and we got married young, I was 20 and he was 21. We moved to Kansas City and started our lives there while I attended The University of Central Missouri pursuing my Bachelors in Science for Photography. We have since moved back home to Springfield, MO and he was able to quit his day-job and join me in running this business, Elise Abigail Photo.
I am truly passionate about what I do. I will cry with you while you read that letter from your person on the morning of your wedding, laugh with you when the ring won’t slide on their finger during your ceremony and at the end of the night I will put down my camera and dance with you before I go.
