Jon spent weeks clearing out brush from the wooded area on his parents property, just so the could have their ceremony under a canopy of lights in the woods. Jackie is currently in law-school in New York, so Jon did a lot more than the typical groom to help with preparations. I met with him for a tour of the property and instantly knew Ethan and him were going to hit it off. Jon is one of those guys that makes everyone feel welcome and important. Jackie is graceful and gives what she gets in her relationships; love and respect. She is also one of the only people I know that ‘gets’ my obsession with lists and the thrill of checking things off when they are completed. The two of them create this overwhelming cute couple that is just brimming with depth and understanding for one another.
Jackie wore her grandmothers wedding crown, which was also the crown that Jackie used to play dress-up when she was little. When Jon laid his eyes on her for the first time, he quietly said, ” You are beautiful, you are the bride I have always dreamed of. ” After the ceremony they drank margaritas and ate tacos catered by Maria’s Mexican Restaurant, followed by lots of homemade deserts and even more dancing. It was a day for the books (also, tacos are my favorite.)
