Ethan and I were asked to photograph The Co-op Venue by one of the owners, Lacy Stewart. When she came to us with her idea of creating a styled elopement/weekend getaway, with the importance being on the experience of the couple, you better believe we were all about it! This was my first “styled shoot,” because it just never felt right or “on-brand” or true to us (or whatever you want to call it) for us to post something that wasn’t real af. BUT this wasn’t a regular styled shoot, it was with a real newlywed couple, who legitimately stayed the night in the bell tent and brought their close friends along to camp that night. We just played dress up a little bit along the way!
If you feel like the traditional wedding isn’t for you, or you would like to think outside the box and have a weekend getaway with your closest friends while also tying the knot, then you need to get your butt over to The Co-op Venue just outside of Springfield, Missouri proper. If the beautiful container bridal suites/airbnb’s aren’t “campy” enough for you, they have a permanent bell tent available for nightly rental! (There is an actual bed in it, people!) Think about it, how dreamy would it be after a night spent dancing under the stars with your friends and family?
